Prices for Lunch/Staff classes (12 weeks Sept 11-Dec 1):
A minimum of 10 people registered is necessary to run the course.
- McGill Staff: $17.40 + taxes
- Complex Members & JAC staff: $45 + taxes ($35 for Tai Chi & Strength/Stretch once per week)
- Non-members & Community: $50 + taxes ($40 for Tai Chi & Strength/Stretch once per week)
- Drop-In fee per class $8 + taxes
STAFF YOGA: Mon & Wed - 12:15pm-1pm (Studio) Maureen
Yoga can be as much or as little as you want it to be. For some it is purely a physical pursuit, keeping the body toned, strong and flexible. For others, yoga becomes more of a mindset and a way of living. Whatever your reason for practicing, or your level of experience – you'll love the class. BOOT CAMP: Mon & Wed 12:30-1:15pm (Gym) Chelsea
Open to staff, students and general community - Looking to spice up your strength training routine? Boost your conditioning and confidence to the next level using a variety of functional training equipment. Challenge yourself and watch your transformation.
TOTAL BODY FITNESS: Tues & Thurs 12:15-1pm (Gym) Cathy
Open to staff and students - A strength training class targeting major muscle groups using various equipment and body weight. TBF incorporates bursts of cardio into movements intended to help you tone all major muscles.
STAFF SPINNING: Tues & Friday 12:15pm (Studio) Jenn
Spinning is a great way to sweat off those calories, improve performance and give you a great work out. This great cardio workout will get you in tip-top shape. Get on the bike and ride! The instructor will lead you through a series of hills, sprints, and flats, while listening to great music! (Space is limited, so registration priority goes to McGill staff unitl Sept 5).
STRENGTH, CORE & MORE: Thursdays 12:15pm (Studio) Jenn
A class that mixes strength training, stretching and basic movements in one incredible workout. A great choice for someone who doesn’t have 2 hours to spend in the gym! Make improvements in everyday, real life activities by creating a little core commotion! You will use hand weights and functional movement patterns to walk away more confident and ready to take on the world!
TAI CHI Friday - 12:15-1pm (Gym) Leon
Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements.If you're looking for a way to reduce stress, consider tai chi.
