Winter Evening Fitness Courses


Registration opens for everyone December 18, 2017. 

Our evening classes are open to staff, students and the public.  Register online (make sure to follow the MAC courses icons) or drop by the Stewart Athletics Complex office and we'll be happy to help you.

Courses begin January 15, 2017 and run for 10 weeks (No classes during the week of March 5-9 for the study break)

Take advantage of our OPEN HOUSE January 15-19 and bring a friend for free! 

Look at our list of courses below, and see what fits in to your schedule.  Note:  A minimum of 10 people registered is necessary to run the course. 

If you can't decide which course to take, buy an All-Access-Pass!  The All-Access-Pass allows you to attend any of the evening classes offered Monday-Thursday - except for Spinning where bikes are limited and priority given to registered clients - but feel free to jump on a free bike any night.
McGill Students & Complex Members $45 + tax $80 + tax
McGill Staff (non-members) $60 + tax $110 + tax
Public/Non-Members $75 + tax $140 + tax
Drop-In Fee / per class $8 + tax
Note:  Registration for classes does not include access to the Fitness Center.  A Membership must be purchased to use the facility.

BODY SHAPING (gym) Mon & Wed 5:15-6:10pm with Wendy

Build strength, add definition, increase bone density and decrease body fat by using a variety of weight training equipment to change the shape of your body - no muscle gets neglected!

CARDIO KICKBOXING (gym) Mon & Wed 6pm-6:55pm with Wendy

Get in shape with this high energy class! Join Cardio Kickboxing for a great overall workout. Come try one of the most popular fitness trends and kick and punch your way to a fitter you! Unleash your inner warrior!. 

CIRCUIT TRAINING (Fitness Centre) Mon & Wed 6pm-6:55pm 

Combining calorie-burning cardio and muscle strengthening circuits in a Workout of the Day format in our Fitness Centre, this class is designed to get your whole body in shape. Challenge yourself on the bike, elliptical or treadmill while also strength training using your body weight and the weight room equipment. If you’re looking to start the New Year off with new fitness goals, Circuit Training is for you!

BROGA YOGA (gym) Wed 7pm-7:55 pm with Steeve

Men and women alike can take this course and enjoy balance, strength, flexibility, concentration, and relaxation - in every class!  Here's a great opportunity to complement your current physical activity in a safe and mindful way.

  • Members and McGill students $30
  • McGill staff non-members $40  
  • Non-members and general community $50

SPINNING (studio) Tues & Thurs 5:30pm-6:30pm with Neil

The instructor will lead you through a series of hills, sprints, and flats, designed to get your heart pumping. It's just like cycling on the road, but without the cars, dogs and potholes.

*Spinning bikes are reserved for registered clients, however ALL-ACCESS-PASS holders are welcome to join in if and when there is a free bike.

BOOT CAMP (gym) Tues & Thurs 5:45-6:40pm with Jennifer

Improve your strength and muscular endurance using a variety of resistance equipment and your own body weight. It's a perfect option for people who want to get stronger, leaner and more pumped and for anyone who likes a good sweat and isn't afraid of a challenge.

YOGA (gym) Tues & Thurs 6:45-7:40pm with Cathy

De-stress in this yoga workout that targets both mind and body.  Build strength, increase flexibility, improve muscle tone, and learn to relax...everything you want after a long day's work.
