Fitness and Recreation Programming Update (October 7, 2020)
Following the recent announcement by the Quebec Government, the Fitness Centres at Macdonald and downtown campuses will be closed beginning on Thursday, October 8. Our on-campus fitness classes were suspended last week and will remain as such. However, our live and on-demand on-line classes remain operational and use of the outdoor gym is encouraged.
Understanding how important mental and physical health is to our Mac community, we are revising the programming we are permitted to offer including badminton, pickleball, skating and more. We will announce our revised schedule in the coming days. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for the latest information.
On the downtown campus, lap swimming is still available, and they too are coming up with new programming options that allow for more COVID-friendly workout activities including badminton, tennis and jogging on the track.
