Registration Begins: Saturday September 12, 2020

Classes Start: Monday, September 14, 2020

For the 2020 Fall semester, staff can participate in a variety of on-campus (in-person) and live online group fitness classes. The $20.00 all-access staff fitness pass enables participants to reserve a spot in any class up to 48 hours in advance (the pass is $50 for JAC staff)

TO REGISTER

Step 1:
Staff must purchase the $20.00 Staff Fitness Unlimited Series Sale package
Click here and sign in using your McGill credentials
Click on "Accts /Series Sales"
Click on "Buy Series Sale"
Choose Module "Group Exercise" and Class Category "Mac Fitness Class" or "Live Online Fitness Class"
Select any of the classes in the dropdown menu and press "Submit"
Choose the $20.00 Staff Fitness unlimited package and "Add to cart"
Proceed to checkout and submit your payment

***Zoom meeting codes and passwords will be emailed 24-48 hours after purchase



Step 2:
Reserve a space in the class (up to 48 hours in advance)
Click here and sign in using your McGill credentials
Click on the "Book Your Workout" icon
Select "Mac Fitness Class" from the drop down menu 
Select the Class you want to sign up for and click "Search"
Click "enroll" and get taken to check out
It will say "payable by series sale", click submit

Open to staff, students and general community - Looking to spice up your strength training routine? Boost your conditioning and confidence to the next level using a variety of functional training equipment.  Challenge yourself and watch your transformation.

CARDIO STRENGTH:  Tues & Thurs 12:15-13:00 pm (Gym) Jay

Open to staff abnd students- A strength training class targeting major muscle groups using various equipment and body weight. Cardio Strength incorporates bursts of cardio into movements intended to help you tone all major muscles.

Yoga with Maureen
12:15-1:00

De-stress in this yoga workout that targets both mind and body.  Build strength, increase flexibility, improve muscle tone, and learn to relax.

Tabata Intervals with Terri
12:00-12:45

Tabata interval training is one of the most effective types of high intensity interval training. Through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises, each class will blast the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time.

Yoga with Maureen
12:15-1:00

De-stress in this yoga workout that targets both mind and body.  Build strength, increase flexibility, improve muscle tone, and learn to relax.

Body Design with Pyram
12:00-12:45

Body design focuses on the muscular training and development of all the major muscle groups. The class begins with a traditional aerobic warm-up and moves into a series of exercises to strengthen and tone the muscles using weights, body bars and tubing. The class will end with stretching for flexibility and relaxation.

Power Yoga with Leena
17:15-18:00

Hatha yoga consists of poses and stretches to tone, rejuvenate and relax the body and mind. Breathing exercises and deep relaxation techniques are also part of the practice. Designed to restore and relax the body, Hatha yoga is a wonderful combination of mind/body exercise.

Pilates with Emily
13:00-13:45

The Pilates method of conditioning strives to obtain a high degree of core strength, full body control, spine flexibility and improved alignment. You don’t have to be an athlete or dancer to benefit from the increased body awareness and strength found through the practice of Pilates.

Barre with Jenn
18:00-18:45

A ballet barre inspired class combining cardio, fun moves, core work, and stretching-all set to hot music! The class can be done barefoot or in shoes.

Hatha Yoga with Tiera
19:00-19:45

Participants move through classic and modified yoga poses with the intent on developing flexibility, strength, balance, breath, focus, equanimity and overall well being. The course is designed to be accessible from the completely uninitiated to the very experienced as it focuses on individual progress.
