How do I gain access to the Macdonald Athletics & Recreation Sports Complex?

Access is limited to Sports Complex members.

McGill students who have paid the Athletics and Recreation fee as part of their tuition are automatically considered members. McGill staff, faculty, alumni, John Abbott College staff and students and the community-at-large must purchase a membership.

 

Are Day Passes available for non-members?

Day passes can be purchased by individuals accompanied by a Macdonald Sports Complex member.

 

What do I do if I have lost or forgotten my membership card or McGill ID card?

One-time entry can be gained by reciting your student or staff number to the Front Desk. After the initial reprieve, any lost card must be replaced. McGill students and staff should replace their University-issued I.D. cards through the procedures outlined by the University.

 

Can I get a refund on my membership?

Refunds must be requested in person at the Stewart Athletic Complex and will prorated based on the monthly membership rate.

 

Can I suspend my membership?

Request to suspend a membership will be accepted on a case by case basis only.

 

How can I pay for my membership?

Memberships can be purchased through On-Line Services (credit card only) or in-person (cash, cheque, debit, Visa or Mastercard) at the Stewart Athletic Complex.

Non-McGill members must request on-line credentials before accessing On-Line Services. 

Please note that not all membership types can be purchased on-line.

 

Can I bring a guest?

Members can purchase a day pass for $8.00/$10.00 for their guest.(McGillian/Community)

 

Are children welcome?

Children under 15 years of age are not permitted in the Fitness Centre and must be accompanied by an adult member in all other areas of the Sports Complex.

 

Are McGill students considered members during the summer?

Through the spring and summer months (May 1 through August 31), full-time McGill students must purchase a summer membership in order to gain access to the Sports Complex. To be eligible for the summer rate, students must have been registered full-time at McGill through the previous semester.

 

What are the hours of operation?

Check the Hours of Operation page for the latest information on facility hours. Please note that activities end 15 minutes before the facility closes.

Is the facility open on holidays?

The Sports Complex is closed on most official holidays as well as select days surrounding the holidays. Check our Facilities pages and the home page of this website for any changes to our schedule.
